Carbon Nanotube Product Forms
| Product | Form | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| JY series | Powder, 90 – 99% purity | Conductive additives, composite reinforcement |
| JCH series | Water-based conductive slurry | Energy storage, water-compatible coating |
| JCN series | NMP-based conductive slurry | Battery electrode slurries, solvent-borne systems |
Ranges marked “confirmed per grade” are set by reinforcement and resin selection; send us your target specification and we confirm what we can supply.

Carbon nanotubes (CNT) are the nanoscale member of our product range. Added in small percentages to a polymer matrix, they form a conductive network that a single filler cannot achieve — which is what makes CNT masterbatch the standard solution for static dissipation and conductivity in thermoplastics.
Where CNTs Create Value
Product Forms
| Form | What it is | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| CNT powder | Multi-wall or single-wall nanotubes, dry powder | Masterbatch compounding, laboratory and specialty applications |
| CNT masterbatch | CNTs dispersed in a carrier polymer at controlled loading | Direct compounding into thermoplastics; easier handling than powder |
| CNT dispersion / slurry | CNTs pre-dispersed in resin or solvent | Coatings, adhesives, in-mold applications |
Loading and Dispersion — the Actual Difficulty
Carbon nanotubes are hard to use for one reason: they bundle. Agglomerates never disperse properly, and they act as stress concentrators that reduce strength instead of improving it. Successful use comes down to three things — a consistent grade, adequate dispersion energy, and a loading chosen for the mechanism you need rather than the highest number possible.
- Match the loading to the target: typical antistatic targets are far lower than typical reinforcement targets
- Assess dispersion by microscopy, not by appearance — a visually uniform compound can still contain agglomerates
- Run a small trial first and measure the property you actually need, not just tensile strength
How to Specify
Tell us the target property (surface resistivity, conductivity, toughness improvement), the base polymer and the processing temperature, and we will recommend the form and loading range to trial. We supply CNT powder and dispersions; masterbatch compounding can be discussed against your resin system.
